The Samaritan's Purse project Operation Christmas Child collects shoebox gifts filled with fun toys, school supplies, and personal care items—and delivers them to children in need around the world to demonstrate God's love in a tangible way. For many of these children, the gift—filled shoebox is the first gift they have ever received.
This event will run from this Sunday, September 24th through Sunday, October 15th.
You can participate in the following ways:
Build a box on your own using the suggested items listed on the display table. Here's a fun video to give you some ideas https://video.samaritanspurse.org/creative-and-safe-ways-to-pack-a-shoebox-2/
Donate items to be used in the box. Go to Amazon.com/shop/operationchristmaschild. They provide a handy selection of items that are suitable for shipping
Build a box online https://video.samaritanspurse.org/build-a-shoebox-online-reach-the-ends-of-the-earth/
Donate money to cover the cost of shipping the boxes ($10/box). You can write out a check to St. John's and put Samaritan's Purse in the memo line. Wonder what that $10 covers? Watch this video https://video.samaritanspurse.org/why-10/
