Nicaragua

Nicaragua has long been a part of the heart of St. John’s Anglican Church, including many mission trips to the country to serve in underserved communities, to establish long-term relationships, and build a sustainable ministry of faith and education for the young people of Nicaragua.

This ongoing work involves staffing a tutor in Nicaragua full-time to help educate, teach English, and bring Christ into the lives and educations of the students in Nicaragua.

One of the students from this program moved to Pennsylvania for high school, and is staying for college while also worshipping and being engaged of the life of St. John’s, while living with St. John’s member for the last 4+ years. His name is Alex Munoz-Diaz, and here is his story as told by him in celebration of his graduation from high school at the International Christian High School in Philadelphia.

We continue to work with school in Alex’s home village, and with more children who are growing up as Alex did. We invite you to follow their stories and updates on the Facebook page dedicated to this ministry.
