Insights Into the Reformation from the Household of Faith

Blessed Past? Blessed Future

Admission and Parking Free

Does the Reformation of the 16th century still matter? Was it necessary? How do those events inform the church’s present witness? In fact, who cares?

St. John’s invites you to a series of presentations reflecting on the Reformation in this 500th year after Martin Luther’s revolutionary invitation to academic debate. Our speakers:

  • 9/23: The Reverend Doctor Carl Trueman, Professor of Church History at Westminster Theological Seminary, Glenside, PA on Martin Luther: The Cross of Christ, the Freedom of the Christian.
  • 10/14: The Reverend Canon Doctor Henry Jansma, Canon Theologian of the Missionary Diocese of CANA East and Rector, All Souls’ Anglican Church, Cherry Hill, NJ on the Reformed tradition, Soli Deo Gloria.
  • 10/21: The Reverend Anthony Janton, Pastor of Our Lady, Help of Christians, Abington, PA on a Roman Catholic perspective.
  • 10/28: The Reverend Ken Cook, Associate Rector, St. John’s Anglican Church, on Richard Hooker, Irenic Anglican Theologian.
